Chipper privacy policy

Last updated: 7 October 2026 (version 0.3)

Chipper keeps score at home poker games: buy-ins, chip counts, and who pays whom. No money moves through the app. This page explains what it stores and why.

What Chipper stores

Where it is stored

If you use Chipper on one phone only, everything stays on that phone. If you play online, your profile and tables are stored in Google Firebase (Google Cloud) and sent over encrypted connections.

Who can see it

People at a table can see that table: its players' names, buy-ins, counts and results. Anyone who has a table's invite code or link can open that table. Your poker log, bankroll and list of tables are visible only to you. Your name, chip and reviews are visible to other Chipper users. Chipper uses your approximate location only when you look for open seats nearby or post one.

What Chipper does not do

Deleting your account and data

In the app, open Me → Delete my data. This deletes your account, your profile, your poker log and every table you host. Tables hosted by other people keep your seat and results, because they belong to the whole table; ask the host to remove you, or contact us.

Can't use the app any more? Email chipper@averbutcher.com with the subject "Delete my Chipper account" and the name you use in Chipper. We delete the account and its data within 30 days and confirm by email.
